The school had there annual Homecoming. The Cub Scouts set up a Krispy Kreme donut stand and it was a great success. We sold donuts again the next day at Walmart. We did ok there but ended up with 60 boxes left. On the next day we had our final Cub Scout pack meeting for the year. Dalton and I both received our 4 year pins. He has one more step to go and then he can cross over into the Boy Scouts. We ended the meeting with everyone taking what was left of the donuts. Stevie and I sold some of the boxes, but the rest of them I froze. I think I had close to 8 boxes of donuts and they are almost gone.
Dalton had an awards ceremony at school and received several certificates including A Honor Roll for the year and The Most Interested in Everything. His teacher was so impressed with his knowledge of everything.
Our final trip was to Lake Winnie. It is an amusement park in Chattanooga. The local scouts sponsor the trip every year. This year Vannah and Stevie went along. We didn't leave this year until the park closed. I was so exhausted. Everyone fell asleep on the way home. Stevie had Dalton and 2 other boys in his truck and I had Vannah, Sam and her boyfriend. Dalton came home and went straight to bed.
So the summer has started and the fun begins. We are planning a trip to Florida next week. I haven't seen Granny in 3 years and I'm looking forward to seeing her and the rest of the family.
